All classes please begin constructing your essay on the Document Based Question we examined in class. 

DBQ: Americans often pride themselves that this is the land of opportunity.  In your opinion was America truly the land of opportunity.  How much economic opportunity truly did exist in Colonial America, and what factors affected the colonists opportunities to succeed?

You must use three quotations from the documents to support your conclusions.

Essay is due Wednesday in pen or double spaced typed

Requirments: You need 6 roman numerals; and change 6 headings into questions:  Each question should be supported by a minimum of two supporting ideas (Capital letters A,B)

20th: All classes expect period #1: Read pages 190-195, complete the first two rows of the Point of View worksheet (Proclamation of 1763, Sugar Act of 1764)

26th: Please complete your opening paragraph for your letter to King George III essay due Friday, Oct 31, 2008

27th: Complete paragraphs two and three of your essay

28th: Complete paragraphs 4

29th: Complete paragraph 5 and in class proof read and peer edit your essay.

30th: Letter to King George III essay due.
